no at carnaval we party 'till 'vastenavond'. (shrove tuesday) After Tuesday night at 12 (a period of 40 days b4 easter) people are supposed to observe the fast.
Not eating candy and stuff.

LOL...My farmers outfit stays with my grandmother in Holland...Its one of her outfits really but when im in town for Carnival i get made to wear it   |
We sure hope on picture of that. I'll mail you pictures of me in my outfits if you wish. Oh and we need to supply you with some good new CD Martina! I can supply you some more of our carnaval music

Carnaval is cellebrated mainly in the south part of Holland.

Yes Carnival is a Catholic thing, so only the South of Holland celebrates it as the north are protestants right

I saw the show too...I was upset that who ever edited the show cut out Martina's interview. If anyone's interested, you could visit www.howardstearn.com and enter 1/12/05 date for the archive section...you could read her interview from the show.
I think it's proper if Howard Stearn has guests, who took their time to be on his show as "guests"...they all should be on TV air time equally...especially when both stories are very touching. I think more people could relate to Martina's family story than Natalia's story from high school.

Hey Satch, Ok im playing the carnival music you sent now.
The first one "Ou'd Oew Spoor" I think is quite a famous one right? i remember hearing this one a few times before, it was actually nice listening to that i could picture my whole family singing along
I like the 2nd one too, its quite dancey for carnival music and the 4th one sounds like dutch rap, i ve never heard music like this which is more modern at carnival
And the pictures are really cool, you all look like your having lots of fun, i especially like the butt shot 
Anyway there all really cool !
