Oh Scotty's little friend did indeed have a name. It's Keenser and it's a dude.

The general styling of the new Enterprise, is very close to the Ambassador class star ship, from TNG-DS9.

I thought so too, it looked a lot like the enterprise-c.

Ah, so the little gremlin does have a name after all. Very good, thank you, Ultima.

Star Trek was awesome. I saw it twice last month and am eagerly awaiting the DVD that will come out this fall. I'm fine with the decisions they made to "shake things up" with the characters and the timeline.

The new Enterprise was awesome and there was nothing like seeing Chris Pine wear the gold shirt in the end. The casting was perfect and worked. J.J. Abrams and crew knew exactly what they were doing and I think a lot of people who doubted this movie and it's chance at success ate major crow.

I am looking forward to the sequel in 2011 and what happens when they do a Next Generation movies in this timeline. It was worth the wait. Best movie of the year so far.

I like how they've engineered it with the whole alternate timeline thing so that they can do what they want with it and not have all the Trekkies go "That's not what would happen!" "Kirk wouldn't do that!" and such. Great movie. I can't compare it to the other Star Trek movies, as the only one I've seen is Insurrection.
