This thought has always haunted me, the idea that PBB will end along with its popularity. I’ve always loved this comic and all that it features its characters, its story, its style, and it’s content. This comic is what made me what I am now and I would do anything to support this community if it meant the continuation of this great franchise.
But perhaps I’m just being a bit paranoid about all this, I know the comic is still going and that there are still people who are interested in the comic and that there are people who can afford to sign up. Still I can’t help but feel like PBB isn’t as loved as much as it should be and that the entire franchise is coming to a close.
I have been waiting to become part of PBB for a long time and I wouldn’t want all that waiting to go to waste, I want to take in as much of this community as I can because I love this comic so very much and I would want to see this comic and it’s community become something great, something to admire, and something people would want to be a part of.
But I guess we’ll just have to see where the road takes PBB in order to find out.

Unfortunately getting our once thriving community back is looking kinda slim. The decimation from piracy and the tanking economy plus other life changers left us with what we have.

It'll still be here at least until the comic ends. From there, it'll be up to Vanessa to either continue with another comic or kill it completely.

let's hope that none of those things happen anytime soon. In fact I'm going to save up so that I can donate some money towards any projects that are being planned, or to just help support the site as a whole.

Um... apparently that must be some ancient, Oriental philosophy, as I'm not catching what you are saying at all. Unless you're saying that PBB is like the Sol star, that isn't ending right now... *in my best ominous voice* but will, one day. Um... yeah. Me and my sense of drama.
Anyway, I was asking, as I don't have a Facebook thingy, and cat-Vanessa said she was going to start using Facebook as a way to talk / meet / chat / update people who read her comics. So... I was wondering if cat-Vanessa put something up on her page as an update about a hiatus or story coming to a close or something.
If that makes sense. )) |

I have a FB account and I am part of the PBB FB group, she hasn't posted anything about PBB's story coming to a close. I only created this thread to speak my mind on the topic, I am no way implying that PBB is ending. Although things have been kind of slow around here.

Haven't been a constant supporter, but I've been subscribing when I can and I'm of much the same opinion.

And here I thought people would like a zen koan. Vanessa stated years ago that she had a definite end to PBB thought it's not ending now.

Not sure but I'm guessing it'll be similar to "The Walking Dead" comic which is planned for 300 issues but might go further. Otherwise the ending to main storyline could open up more spin-off ideas/comics that could also feature cameos.

Could you imagine PBB having 300 issues? that would be insane, but I wouldn't complain

Most of us would be close to retirement or older by the time the comic came to close at current rate. The TWD comic was already planned for at the very least 200 issues and consider that the TWD comic is a full comic coming monthly as opposed to a single page coming in roughly the same time.
