It depends a lot of the cartoon. In some, the main character has to face hardship and become a better person from the struggle. I can imagine William learns so lesson and slowly learn to be a player in this game instead of a pawn in the hands of the other player. Betty is not the only one that can blackmail or uses people vices and secrets to get what she want.

Well, he was nearly broken and then went mad lust monster the first time. So either we'll see a repeat of that, he's "had it in him all along" where he has the stamina and machismo of a porn star, or he'll be the fool some expect of him and totally pass out from too much exposure. ;P
