I find your lack of faith disturbing... Especially when AT-ST's start trampling all over Hundred Acre Wood and Pooh becomes an honorary Ewok warrior.

Let's see what quality talent will continue the saga straight out of the Mickey Mouse Club. Maybe there'll be a sing-along soundtrack and a new zone at all Disney parks.

But what does Lucasarts trademark? Star Wars. So by extension, they own the series.

That's a great video! I loved the part where the black screen was all black and stuff.

I feel better with Star Wars Disney's hands than in George Lucas' at this point.

‎"I can't believe Disney is buying Lucasfilm. They've already announced episode VII for 2015. My childhood is officially deceased."

"I am god damn sick of hearing this argument. For starters, Disney has nothing to do with murdering your childhood... George Lucas is the one who did that, so you SHOULD be jumping for joy that the franchise is out of his hands. And really we need to stop treating Star Wars as though it's some holy scripture. It's a good sci-fi universe with lots of stories to tell. More movies is a GOOD thing. Secondly, everyone said the same thing back when Disney bought Marvel back in 2009. And do you know what happened then? The AVENGERS happened. and do you recall who was the writer/director of that fantastic film? How's your childhood looking now?"

So in other words, no change in quality? Lol

Honestly, it's pretty much flip-a-coin at this point. On one hand, you have the overly milked Star Wars franchise from the Lucas aspect. On the other hand, you have Disney, who for the most part make about a dozen sequels to things that never needed a sequel before releasing anything with any semblance of an original idea.

When it comes to animations from way back in our childhood, Disney definately has the money to throw around to make it happen and get it all back in the end. Still, some hesitation is merited.

Hesitation yes, but this time there is a glimmer of hope.
